More games

After finishing Scarygirl I followed some other suggestions.

One game that really caught my attention was Knytt and the sequel Knytt Stories. Knytt is just a very relaxing game (great music) where you have to find the parts for your spaceship. Knytt Stories is trickier but still enjoyable. The music is great. You can download the games for free.

Another flash game is Samorost. I don't know how to describe this one. It's certainly short and not that difficult but the idea alone is so cute and well-executed. There is this little guy in pyjamas. He lands with his spaceship on a planet and you have to help him to reach his destination.

Do you know any similar games you can recommend?

Really? I didn't remember the name but I recognised it as soon as I saw it, because several other people have recommended it to me in the past, and each time the same thing happened;

1. I click on the link.
2. I look at the planet for some time, waiting for something to happen.
3. I start pressing buttons, to see if I can make something happen. No matter what I press, nothing does.
4. I start looking for something to press or click on for instructions about how to play the game. I find nothing.
5. I give up and click away, wondering what the fun part about staring at a planet on the screen is supposed to be - you're the first person to mention that something does happen, if you're willing to wait long enough.

I obviously don't have the patience for flash games... If I'm going to play a game on the computer, I usually want there to be something I can do right away, and for there to be clear instructions, easily available, if I want them.

Anyway, that said, I'm sure I remember a website that had a mass collection of really very pretty games where you collect falling roses or guide bees to flowers. If I can find it, I will link to it...

When the planet comes up, you need to click on the little hatch on the top to set things in motion. You will see what you can click when you move your mouse over the game. You play that game by clicking on things (with your mouse) that can be clicked.

I know which one you mean. Orisinal

See, that's the information required to play the game, which the game designers do not themselves provide... Thank you.

That's it. Sporadically, I am in the mood to chase rosepetals. ;-)

I can understand your frustration. I'm easily frustrated by games, too, when you have to time every move and still die 50% of the time. Not my idea of fun. :(

I hope you can enjoy the game now. Tell me when you make it to the end or need help along the way.
