BoB drama
There is a fair chunk of drama in Band of Brothers fandom at the moment. Someone (apparently a family member of one of the real men) found a fanfiction on fanfction.net (no sex) where a soldier is mentioned who didn't appear in the mini-series but did fight with the soldiers portrayed in BoB. I don't know if he was mentioned in the book.
I'm fairly new to Band of Brothers fandom but not to the idea of writing RPS or fanfic based on "true events". The usual drama occurs right now: lockdown of an already flocked community, people saying they will hide their stories etc.
I'm so fucking angry right now. The constant debate about fanfiction being illegal and/or morally wrong. When I do it, it's damnable; when Steven Spielberg does it, he gets an Emmy. *hates fandom for a moment*

Edit: Nanowrimo, here I come. (And I promise not to update about it - at all.)
