Es gibt Tage, da liebe ich das Internet (und seine Foren) einfach. Ich konnte eine fehlerhafte .avi Datei einfach nicht löschen und kam mir schon wie der größte Depp vor, der seinen eigenen Laptop durch systematische Dummheit verschrottet.
Auf der Suche nach Hilfe habe ich also "probleme beim löschen von avi" bei Google eingegeben und - o Wunder! - es gab schlappe 79.000 Suchergebnisse mit dieser Fragestellung.
Lauter Internetforen, in denen Leute, die sicher mehr Ahnung als ich haben, das gleiche Problem (Fehlermeldung von explorer.exe sobald ich in die Nähe der fehlerhaften .avi gekommen bin, Schließen des Ordners nur über Taskmanager) geschildert haben. Ich bin nicht bescheuert! Anderen geht es genauso! Es ist ein wohlbekannter "glitch" in XP!

Für den zukünftigen Gebrauch packe ich hier mal den Link rein, der mir bei der Problembehebung geholfen hat.
Ich musste die shmedia.dll löschen, damit es funktioniert hat.

Is it just me or is IJ's FAQ not properly working? I can't click on the links or use the search. I was looking for the friends' of friends feature because I don't know the url.

Firefox still acts stupid, so I'm using Opera now. Their content blocking isn't as efficient as ADblock but it will do. I also like the quickstart (when you open an empty site, your 10 quickstart favourite are displayed) feature.

I found out how to add my "add to del.icio.us" link to the toolbar. (help here). Still looking for a dictionary feature.

I started watching "Shameless", a British series about a lower-class family living in a council estate. I watched three episodes and we already covered: a fake marriage, a car thief boyfriend, a gay brother, arson, an involuntary trip to France, people being released from prison, people trying to avoid prison, oral sex, anal sex, medical conditions such as agoraphobia and the Tourette syndrome etc.

It's a great show. The characters are generally likeable (I'm talking about a father who spends most of his screen time passed out drunk on the kitchen floor) and the dialogue is witty (if a little hard to understand). I ordered the box set of season 1-3.

Have a Spanish Euro celebration video, featuring players like Ramos, Casillas, Villa runing around half-naked and splashing each other with champagne.

Still happy that Germany has come so far. My BahnCard25 has been extended for one month for every Germany victory (30th of October) and I only paid 19 € for it.

Still football related: I had no idea that the Romanian national anthem is this beautiful.

I had a lot of problems with Firefox lately. It's crashing all the time plus I had some trouble with plug-ins. I'm too annoyed to figure out what's wrong this time and switched to Opera for the time being.

First Opera impressions: I can't see the navi bar when I'm looking at my profil. I also don't like the fonts and can't figure out how to set them so they look like the ones I'm using in Firefox. I'm not too big on trying out things - I don't have the patience.

I just noticed that Opera also shows the commas in my tag list.

I've de-installed most of my Firefox themes and plug-ins and I'm updating to version 3.0 right now (but I've already read on my flist that the new version is crappy, too).

Great: The following add-ons are not compatible with this version of Firefox: Cookiesafe, Pimpzilla, Del.icio.us. Thank God, I don't use them. *un-installs again*

In other news: Photobuckets stops in the middle of uploading when I use the drag and drop feature.

Habe eben das Problem, das ich mit Firefox hatte, beheben können. Er hat die Lesezeichen nicht mehr anzeigen wollen (obwohl sie im Manager waren), mich diese Lesezeichen nicht anklicken lassen, außerdem das Öffnen im neuen Tab/Fenster verhindert sowie das Kopieren. Zudem wurde so ein grauer Balken angezeigt.

Gott sei Dank hat mir Wiki geholfen. Es handelt sich wohl um ein Problem mit Add-on Versionen, allerdings weiß ich nicht, welche genau das Problem verursacht hat. Habe Firefox einfach noch mal neu installiert.

Freue mich außerdem, dass einige Feeds, die ich abonniert habe, jetzt auch tatsächlich upgedatet werden. Liegt es am Codeupdate? Ich hatte früher immer Probleme damit, weil sie entweder überhaupt nicht upgedatet wurden oder wenn, dann in einer falschen (veralterten) Reihenfolge erschienen. Scheint jetzt soweit behoben.

Freut mich besonders bei kickette. :)

Noch mal Glück gehabt. Hatte heute mit einer aus Versehen installierten Eingabehilfe zu kämpfen, die meine Tastatur ständig auf China (VR) umstellen wollte. Aber die Systemwiederherstellung hat gewirkt. Dachte dann auch noch für einen kurzen Moment, dass meine gesamten Lesezeichen im Arsch wären, weil sie zuerst nicht in Firefox angezeigt wurden.

Große, große Schrecksekunde.

Kenne ja auch Leute, die weder die Favoriten/Lesezeichen noch die Tabfunktion benutzen. Frage mich dann immer, wie die das machen. Ich kann mir nicht mal die Adresse meines Emailpostfach merken (und habe auch nicht auf die Homepage verlinkt, wo mir nur nackte Brüste und Vorschlaghammerschlagzeilen à la Bild entgegen springen würden).

Habe also erst mal meine Lesezeichen auf der Festplatte gespeichert. Man weiß ja nie.

Lade mir jetzt einen Lindsay Lohan Film runter. Ja, ehrlich.
